Time Achievement Levels
Red, Blue, and Gold Times
This program is designed to provide personal goals for swimmers to achieve while continually improving. Each age group and gender has a predetermined set of three time levels (Red, Blue and Gold) for each event. The five events are Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Backstroke and Individual Medley.
“Red” Time -First level of achievement.
“Blue” Time -Second level of achievement. In some leagues, dual meets are separated between Red and Blue times. Once a swimmer achieves a Blue time in an event, they cannot swim that event at a Red meet.
“Gold" Time - Highest level of achievement. A swimmer who has achieved a Gold time may swim that event at the County Meet (limited to 2 individual events for the County Meet).
We hope that this swim season proves to be inspirational and rewarding for all of our Dolphin swimmers. We recognize swimmers by the Personal Best (PB) Awards Program. Every time a swimmer improves his/her time in a race, it is recognized as a Personal Best.
For each PB, a swimmer will receive a raffle ticket to be used at our End of Year Banquet to enter in drawings to win prizes.
Parents can keep track of their children’s personal bests throughout the season by checking the Best Times section of your My Account page.
BDSC will recognized and celebrate the achievements of the swimmers for the season. These awards are presented at the end of the season banquet. The awards include, but are not limited to:
