Flow of a Dual Meet
A Dual Meet is a roughly 4 hour family event between two recreational teams, with the first event starting after the first hour. Swimmers will typically swim no more than three individual events and possibly relays with the heat and lane assignments set before the meet starts. A program guide is made available via the Team Calendar before the meet starts.
The first hour is for swimmers and parents to check-in, families to setup their group’s space in their team’s area, and for warmups. Most events will have just 2 heats and some events are swum simultaneously. An announcer will communicate the progress of the meet the entire time. Please listen carefully to all announcements to make sure you do not miss any events. 10 & unders will have Parent Shepherds to help them get to their events on time in the correct lane.
